Follow the instructions on the camp planning checklist​ to organise a residential camp. 

Pre Camp Planning ​

  • ​​A DEEC coordinator will organise a planning meeting via Teams with you​ to draft your program and to support you with notes, paperwork, questions and budget.
  • After showing your students our information video or PowerPoint presentation, your DEEC camp coordinator would be happy to meet your students via Teams to answer any questions that they may have about camp. ​​​​

Camp budgeting

  • Costs and fees - please use our Cost Cal​culator 
  • Organise transportation ​to and from DEEC

Medications

  • Ensure you understand what is required for Administering Medications on your school ca​mp.  Refer to the DOE Policy and Procedure Register administration-of-medications-in-schools-procedure
  • Collect IHP, EHP, AP, BMP etc. (​email with alert list - bring colour version with you)​

Blue Card Requirements for non-teaching Adults

In line with relevant legislation, the following information is required to confirm the visiting organisation's compliance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld). 

Blue cards must be linked to your school

Adults​​ will not be able to remain on your camp if compliance is not verified by the visiting organisation's principal.  

Please ensure DEEC receive this verification prior to attending the centre.
