  • Investigating and comparing the features of the animals and plants eg. feathers, beaks, feet, leaves, flowers and roots
  • Recognising differences between farm animals as they live, grow and survive
  • Identifying the different life cycle stages of farm animals and plants and how they have adapted to their environment
  • Observing how the farm environment influences the reproduction, growth and survival of living things

Teachers and students may communicate observations through digital photography.

Comments:
The Farm is a well shaded facility within the DEEC grounds. The Farm encompasses the farm shed, poultry and pig run and vegetable gardens. The farm shed provides a large covered area housing our incubators, snake enclosure, compost stations and stock feed. Students may experience the farm during the Farm and/or Photography program.
