Duration: Approx. 30 minutes to 1 hour
Comments:
Challenges are usually conducted in our under covered area or on shaded grounds. They require very basic props and equipment and are designed to focus students on problem solving strategies.
Initially challenges identify flaws in individual and team cooperation, resilience, communication etc. Groups are then challenged to work more effectively to complete tasks, improve their score etc.
Debriefing the session is important to identify how successfully individuals and teams worked together to overcome challenges and how this can translate to class situations. The experience can be revisited throughout camp and followed up back at school.
